An eighteen member delegation of American medical personell in various fields of medicine, is coming from the U.S.A to Lagos, Nigeria to administer a ten day free medical consultation, treatment and training to the less priviledge on various health issues, but on cancer in particular.

The Acce Cancer Care Inc. (ACCI) Is a wholly non profit organization (NGO), located in Houston, Texas, USA that is poised to reduce the challenges faced by Nigerians in the area of Cancer and related treatment without any cost.

ACCI Mission is – Driving cancer awareness and prevention through education, early detection, capacity building and treatment, leading to improved survival and healthy communities. Our vision is to create a cancer free world. Our main focus in Nigeria is to promote the awareness for preventable cancers, educate about early sign of deadly cancers, promote routine screening/early diagnosis and facilitate prompt treatment as a way to decrease the current high rate of mortality and morbidity due to cancer in the country. We also work to enhance capacity in the area of cancer management through training. All of this are done without charge.

ACCI had done this in other parts of the country in time past but it is their decision to repeat same in Lagos this time. This service is intended to be repeated each year in various states of the federation.

ACCI’s arrival date to Nigeria is the 6th of May, 2016. A cancer awareness walk is scheduled to take place in some parts of Lagos on the 8th of May, 2016 while full medical treatment and  – consultation shall start at the assigned medical facility on Monday the 9th of May, 2016.
