This workshop seeks to reinforce the idea of the symbiotic relationship between law and business, and the need for both to work together in the process of promoting sustainable development, particularly in a volatile economy.
The workshop is intended to firstly provide participants with a profound understanding of the administrative framework of conducting business in Africa, particularly in Nigeria. Secondly, to demonstrate to participants how globalization and the creation of an interconnected global economy is impacting on the said administrative and legal framework and influencing organizational change. Thirdly, sensitize participants to the need for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and the promotion of corporate governance. Fourthly, to highlight the key role of Teams and enlightened Leadership in the creation and sustainability of competitive businesses. At the end of this workshop participants should:
- have a sound understand of the workings of Nigeria’s legal and administrative framework;
- have an understanding of the macroeconomic considerations for businesses in Nigeria;
- have an understanding and recognize the urgent need for corporate governance and CSR; and
- improve their understanding, skills and competencies within the realm of leadership.
