ASBON WOMEN GROUP CELEBRATES WOMEN’S DAY IN GRAND STYLE

As it is the custom every year, the Women wing of the Association of Small Business Owners of Nigeria (ASBON), celebrated the 2021 International Women’s Day in Style.

The occasion was graced by very eminent personalities that altogether makes the day eventful and upbuilding

The program kicked off with the welcome address by the Women Group Captain – Mrs Olasumbo Adeleke.

Presentations were made by Ms Shola Arobieke – Senior Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor on Industry, Trade and Investment who also doubles as an ASBON Ambassador. She spoke on the theme: Investing in Women’s Leadership. It was knowledge and power packed.

Mrs Nwamaka Onyemelukwe – Director, Sustainability and Corporate Governance, Coca-Cola Nigeria Plc did spoke glowingly on the topic: Empowering Women and Closing the Gender Gap. The audience tapped from her wealth of experience on the topic. It was an awesome and quality time spent, listening to her.

Goodwill Messages were delivered by Imperio International Ltd – one of the sponsors of the event; Mrs Omowale Ogunrinde of Field of Skills and Dreams VTE Academy & IVLP Alumni; Mrs Asonye Chinasa, President – Ogbonge Women Multipurpose Agriculture Cooperative Society; Mr. Bassey – the Managing Director of  Mighty Hands of God Ltd, makers of Mighty Hand of God Packaged Water who also doubles as one of the sponsors of the event; Mr Oyetunde Oyewole –  the CEO of Liberty Plastic Industries, makers of various polyethylene bags and plastics and also one of the sponsors of the event, amongst others.

The event ended with series of gifts from various sponsors with many quality goodies from Dangote Group who donated quite a number of their products to attendees of the events.

It was funfair galore at the end of the event as the guests were treated to a live Juju highlife music from the juju music maestro –  Jossy K. Jugbedu. It was something else and beyond words.
